Hopi Ear Candling
Hopi Ear Candling or thermo-auricular therapy is an ancient healing treatment dating back thousands of years to Ancient Greece. A long, hollow Candle or Cone that is made of cotton and soaked in bees wax, honey and herbs is placed gently into the ear to stimulate the removal of wax and impurities from the ear canal. As the warm air from the flame is drawn downwards into the candle it meets the cooler air and a vacuum effect is created lifting out debris, wax, candida and any other impurities from the ear.

How will I feel During and After a Hopi Ear Candling?
You will lay on your side on the Massage table. I will place a towel over the side of your face and hair so it is protected and I also use protective foil coverings placed over the towel. This is to ensure that at no point will the ash or flame touch you. During the candling I will play relaxing music and if you wish I can add in some simple Reiki to help with the Cleansing and detoxification process. We will do one ear and then turn over to candle the other ear, each ear takes around 10-15 mins for the candles to burn down. During the candling you may hear a slight crackling or even popping sound deep within your ear canal. Please do not be alarmed as this is a great sign that the wax is shifting and moving up the Candle. You may also feel a slightly warm sensation, but never hot, just a gentle warm heat and pulling or sucking feeling as the vacuum forms.
After the Hopi Ear Candling I will massage around the ear and neck area to enhance the lymphatic drainage. Then once you are ready to sit up I will show you the results should you wish to see them! I will cut open the bottom of the Candle and you can see what has been drawn from your ear! In some cases there is not so much, but in others there is quite an amount of material to be found.
You will note much louder hearing immediately after the candling and relief from other symptoms become apparent quite soon after.

It is very effective at gently removing alot of wax as you can see here. The little squares of cotton at the bottom are there to protect your ears, everything else you see is ear wax that has been drawn into the end of the candle. You will get to see what has been taken from your ear at the end of Hopi Ear Candling should you wish to see! As you can see on this photo the left candle has drawn up alot of wax in particular, this is quite normal to have one ear more blocked than the other....
Hopi Ear Candling Treatment Details
*Treatments take around 45 minutes to over an Hour. This time includes a consultation before & after your Sound Therapy treatment.
*Treatments take place in your own home, as I am fully portable Holistic Therapist.
*Please look after yourself for at least 24 hours before your Holistic Treatment by not drinking alcohol, eating good, natural unprocessed foods, not taking un prescribed drugs and get a good nights rest before if possible.
*You will be given an Aftercare advice sheet - please follow it for your maximum benefit.
